Business & Educational Leadership

With over 20 years working within the business and educational sectors, I have found that the best leaders are those who lead with confidence, are self-aware and have a high emotional quotient, adopt a creative and solution-focused mindset, and genuinely care about their team, staff and the mission of the company/school they're in. They are approachable, motivated and inspire easily and enjoy strong interpersonal relationships with those around them.

This type of leadership connects teams and organisations because the focus is on finding ways to get the best out of everyone, including themselves, and understanding that a valued, trusted, well-respected and cared for staff is key to higher retention, work and life satisfaction, access to creativity, and an increase in productivity and profit.

Using the Core Energy Coachingâ„¢ process, COR.E Leadership Dynamicsâ„¢ framework, and the ELi 360 Assessment (see below), I support companies and schools to shift the core energy of their key staff (from middle managers, team leaders to heads of department) by helping them understand what gets in the way of their best at work, improve the way they lead their teams and themselves, strengthen their relationships and communication skills, and build confidence within themselves and in others.  Find out below how I can support companies and schools through my coaching approaches and workshops.

Working with Managers

Middle managers and school heads of departments (HoDs) are the backbone of any successful business, school or organisation. They are responsible for overseeing operations, aligning goals with the overall mission, task allocation, liaising and coordinating between senior leadership and other departments, providing a positive learning environment,  leading the delivery of educational outcomes for students and bringing out the best in their teams and departments.

Coaching can be a valuable tool to support these managers and HoDs in their roles because they can gain insight into their working style, identify areas for improvement and growth, and develop strategies to become more effective leaders. In addition, through coaching, they can boost morale, produce synergy, realise their full potential, build a strong team, and lead their organisation or school to success. My approach to coaching managers is in developing their level of awareness so that they can begin recognising their automatic and habitual reactions, as well as, those of their teams', learn how these can create conflict and challenges within the workplace, and be empowered to tackle them powerfully, effectively and confidently. I work on building self-confidence and a self-belief that supports better decision-making, a culture of trust and a healthier work environment.

Working with Teams/Groups

Through a combination of group, team and individual coaching, as well as, workshops, I help team members recognise their unique value and contribution to the company and support them in increasing their sense of belonging. This makes it easier for them to work and stay on task.

Since interpersonal relationships can help or hinder the success of any task, goal or project, I support teams in identifying areas of potential conflict and encourage more powerful and effective ways to resolve any challenges that they might face. This leads to improved communication and collaboration, better self-regulation and helps to foster a culture of trust and respect, which is essential for organisational and departmental success.  Overall, through my approach to coaching, teams can develop the skills they need to work together more efficiently, solve problems, be innovative and achieve their common goals, creating a more harmonious environment where everyone can thrive.

Organising Workshops

Workshops are essential for organisational success. When run by a coach, they provide a safe and structured environment for participants to explore different perspectives, hone their skills, and develop a greater understanding of their own strengths and limitations.

Participants can expect to gain valuable insights that will help them become better leaders, team players, creative thinkers and problem solvers, while learning how to apply their newly developed skills to their own work environment and beyond. They will also learn ways to consistently perform at their best, access their full potential and increase their satisfaction at work. Workshops include and are not limited to: Leadership Performance, Conflict Management, Emotional Intelligence, Productivity, Problem Solving, Employee Wellbeing and much more!  Contact me if you have a specific workshop idea that is not listed here.

ELi 360° Assessment

Similar to the Energy Leadership Indexâ„¢Assessment, the ELi 360 assesses how your energy affects the way you lead yourself and others, and measures it alongside 36 different leadership competencies that reflect your ability to adapt, communicate, engage, inspire greatness and relate to those around you. The results of the 360° Feedback system, also highlights how you, as well as those around you, perceive your energy. It can also show areas of opportunity and growth.

These assessments have been statistically proven to raise financial and life satisfaction, by focusing on increasing a person's overall core energy. After all, nearly everything we do takes energy to achieve, and the amount and quality of energy we have towards a particular task, team, organisation can determine how well we can connect with it and them, and achieve the desired goals.
